Assata made her National television
debut on ABC’s hit singing competition show “American Idol". She sang her way through 5 rounds including the infamous Hollywood week filmed in California. She finished strong in Hawaii taking home with her the experience of a lifetime along with a title of “American Idol Top 40 Finalist”.
Assata landed a leading role in The Bodyguard Musical put on by The Anthony Bean Theater. Assata plays "Rachel Marron" a character made famous by the late Whitney Houston.
